Low prices and both of the women who performed my piercings were friendly, professional, quick and put me at ease. Amazing.I have since had two piercings done here - septum and right eyebrow, again - and the service has been excellent both times. When every other piercing studio in Derby told me I needed to make a booking in order to do this (some trying to offer me a booking weeks into the future, which was of no use to me) and wanted to charge me certainly more than Abacus did, Abacus told me they could do it as a walk-in and charged me only £1 for the service. Also, if i have any questions they do quickly respond to emails and Instagram messages. So very averageService:Ear piercingĪmy Tollyfield: I used Abacus Tattoo & Piercing Studio in Derby firstly when I needed my right eyebrow piercing removed at short notice. Additionally i feel the workers are polite, in regard to asking questions about anatomy and assisting me with changing my jewellery. Lovely piercer but just let me down a little :,).Given that i have had a few let downs it is definitely my fault for continuing to go back, however the location and price is convenient for me, and any bumps that i get usually go away. The lady who pierced it was absolutely lovely to be honest, and explained that she would pierce my tragus deeper due to it being on the smaller side, and because they had had their tragus piercing reject 3 times. From the front it looks fine however from the back you can see how wonky the piercing is, it is not straight at all. And, once again a different piercers, my tragus was pierced incorrectly causing it to form an irritation bump. Eventually i went to change it to a flatback labret, and the bumps did go away, however i am left with a scar from where the bump was.Thirdly, my fourth on my left ear was pierced terribly (a different piercer).

I went to ask if it was healing correctly, and they said yes, despite it remaining for same for a few weeks.

I feel that they should of not have pierced my snug even if i didn't ask if i had the right anatomy, this would of been the professional thing to do.Secondly, my forward helix was pierced with a curved bar bell, instead of a flat back labret, which led to it forming bumps on both the front and back. At the time i wasn't knowledgeable about piercings so didn't know that anatomy dependent piercings existed. After 2-3 days tho, the ink gradually gets darker and darker (esp when it gets exposed to water), until jt is fully developed.Maya Buccinna: Been here for the majority of my piercings, purely because i live close to the location, however a few of my piercings aren't really up to scratch.Firstly, despite not having the right anatomy for it, they allowed me to have a snug piercing. Rather, the ink almost just gets easily transferred over into a faint marking on the skin. The only difference is that you might not see the sticker plastic layer coming off. It’s done in the same way you would apply temporary sticker tattoos, with water to soak the paper backing while the tattoo is held against your skin.

You can purchase their products on Shopee or physically from their pop-up booths in Orchard Gateway 🤎 I definitely think it’s cheaper to buy it from their booth because they tend to have buy 5 get 2 free kind of deals! (I spent about $24 for everything!) After wearing them for a few days, I’ve definitely become more sure of where I would want my tattoo placements and sizes, even tho I still haven’t decided on the designs. So I decided to try temporary tattoos to help me decide if I should get real ones hehe 🌚 the reason I tried jagua tattoos was because their finished effect makes it look a lot more realistic, like a real tattoo, instead of a “layer” of ink/sticker like other typical normal tattoos. Idk about y’all but I periodically toy with the idea of getting a permanent tattoo here and there, but I’m just always so afraid that I wouldn’t like it once I have it.
